HOW WE GET IT BUILT, EASIER

Building is never a simple process. But we’ve taken care of the nitty-gritty so that you can focus on the parts of the build you care about. The Fox team will take care of everything for you, from building and shire approvals to the contracts and everything in between. All you have to do is choose a design you like, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Our process starts with a free consult, where you can ask any questions and we’ll go through your specific requirements. If you’d prefer, we can also work with your nominated builder to run through the process and give you the steps you’ll need to take for a smooth installation, including your building certification.

Once you’re happy with a final design, we’ll begin the process at our end and take it from there. Your building will be completed in our WA facility and transported to site with a minimum of fuss.

The Process

Step 1. DISCOVER

First, you’ll connect with our expert Fox team to discuss your requirements and design options – including the specifics of your block.

Step 2. DESIGN

Once you’ve agreed to a suitable design, we’ll lock in the design and specs, along with any customisations and upgrades you may require. The quote and approvals will be locked in at this point, with a $7,000 fee required to start preliminary works.

Step 3. PLAN

We’ll handle all building approvals and contracts, logistics etc. Please note that building approvals can take up to 90 days.

Step 4. FABRICATE

The actual construction of your granny flat will only take a matter of weeks (not months!), depending on supply. This process happens in a partly weather-controlled environment at our Perth manufacturing facility, which helps us avoid weather delays. We can liaise with your builder at this time, and help guide you through the process of certification. Because the manufacturing is off-site, you can start with site works immediately.

Step 5. TRANSPORT

We will liaise with your transport company and deliver your new home to your site or property. If you will be doing the installation yourself, we can liaise with you or your team to make sure everything is easy to deliver.

Step 6. INSTALL (IF NEEDED)

If you're located within 4 hours of the metro area, we can also offer installation onsite. We will liaise with your transport company, if required, and deliver your new home to your site once the relevant site works have been completed.

Step 7. MOVING IN

The big moment! We’ll help you with any advice you might need to enjoy your new home, and look forward to seeing you move in!
